The Perdomo Lot 23 Provides Singular, Affordable Quality.
Sometimes experimentation produces results that transcend expectations. Such is the case with the Perdomo Lot 23 cigar. In the year 2000, Nick Perdomo, jr., planted specially selected Cuban tobacco seed in a virgin field on the family farm near Esteli, Nicaragua. The rich, dark soil containing large amounts of volcanic ash, produced a luscious crop of tobacco. When expertly aged, the Perdomo blend connoisseurs went to work, to find tobaccos from other regions or countries to mix with their experimental leaves. To their surprise, no mixture they tried could match the pleasing flavors found in cigars rolled exclusively from that single crop, and the Lot 23 was born. Now that’s a Puro! Only the wrappers, either a silky Connecticut or a rich Maduro, were grown elsewhere.
This stogie delivers medium-bodied, straightforward smoke, teeming with creamy bursts of woods and nuts. The taste is perfectly balanced, as one would expect from the singular leaf source. The aroma is full of tasty cedar. The draw is easy, the finish is medium, and leaves a sprinkle of spice on the tongue. This is not an exotic cigar, it is a pure, uncomplicated, elegant delight. And it is highly acclaimed. Released in 2006, the Lot 23 found its way onto many prestigious Top Five lists of best releases for the year. Its obvious quality, matched with an affordable price tag, has made this stogie a favorite for countless cigar lovers. Goes very well with sweetened ice tea or your favorite liqueur. |
