Sans these, the stogie does not disappoint. This medium-bodied cigar is an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper away from being a Nicaraguan Puro, birthed of Cuban Ligero seed. The wrap is aesthetically pleasing, with a subtle vein or two providing character.
The sun grown heritage of the leaf boosts the taste, mixing in a bit of peppery pop with an otherwise mellow, yet rich, offering. The cold aroma and draw is very earthy, like the rich loam of a cocoa field. When lit, the Special S pleases the palate with a flavorful feast of vanilla-covered nuts, and fresh fruit highlights.
