Every Avalon cigar line is an extremely high quality cigar, with a unique and rich smoking experience. The Numbers series, however, is completely different. Named for the ring gauges that feature a large number identifier, these cigars are a very limited edition of Avalon cigars and are currently being hand-rolled in Miami Florida. The line has only three different wrappers, but with seven cigars in the line, there is still an immensely different experience for every day of the week.
The line has three main groups, with the numbers as follows: Cigars with a ring gauge that says 48, 52, or 54 are part of the Cameroon Oscuro line. These cigars are considered to be the lightest cigars that Avalon makes and sells. The group is extremely light and flavorful, with a little bit of sweetness due to the unique Cameroon wrapper. On occasion, they do have a very small amount of sharpness, because of the natural differences between the ingredients that are used.
Wrappers that have 38 or 50 on them are part of the Cameroon line. This line is considered a medium cigar, mild but still heavy. Avalon suggests that this cigar could be for a seasoned smoker who is looking for an everyday cigar, or someone who is working up to the sharper items. This is definitely a satisfying flavor, but not something that is completely overpowering.
The final items in the Numbers series are 44 and 46, in the Brazilian Maduro line. These cigars are extremely rough, with a Maduro wrapper that has the perfect amount of ligero for an experienced smoker. This is not something that someone who is used to a mild cigar would like, but one who enjoys a heavier cigar would be amazed by the full and complex taste.
