Antonio Amanzar of New York City was the first producer of the La Vieja Habana hand rolled brand of cigars. After only a few successful years, Amanzar moved his operations to the well know cigar making town of Esteli, Nicaragua. Since entering the market in late 1990’s, La Vieja Habana cigars have evolved several times to produce the combination of a good price with a smooth smoke. These cigars have the added benefit of an aged Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. The affordability makes it possible to savor these cigars for everyday use. La Vieja Habana is the Drew Estate’s top selling cigar offering a rich, flavorful smoke with every light. The aroma has an enticing natural tobacco appeal with a large number of smoking enthusiasts.
One of the most notable changes that the La Vieja Habana cigars have experienced is their colorful new packaging along with a few variations with the wrappers. There is a smoke suitable for every taste beginning with the traditional spicy Cuban Corjo. The Brazilian Maduro offers a sweet, buttery smoke while the Cameroon has a pungent nutty flavor. The entire line of La Vieja Habana cigars offer the Nicaraguan mixed filler tobaccos which are considered to be the finest in the industry. |
