La Gloria Cubana Series R |

Fans describe La Gloria Cubana Serie R as the best tasting maduro…ever. Hi praise? Yes. Deserved? Definitely. Are you new to the line? Well, make no mistake, this is a cigar for people who have seen everything the world has to offer and cockily declare, “What else ‘ya got?”
The Cubana Serie R is a bold, full-bodied maduro. Give thanks to Ernesto Carillo Jr, the master craftsman who hand rolls and inspects every single one. Also thank his dad, Ernesto Carillo Sr., the man who left post-revolutionary Cuba taking with him to Miami the secrets of the La Gloria Cubana line. Like others in the La Gloria Cubana catalog, Cubana Serie R has aged Dominican and Nicaraguan Ligero filler. However, this filler is aged years longer than the original blend. It comes wrapped in either a Connecticut broadleaf or Ecuadorian sumatra and has a Nicaraguan binder. La Gloria Cubana isn’t much to look at. But remember, beauty is in the mouth of the smoker. The draw is tight, given the densely packed tobacco. It won’t take too long too loosen. You’ll be rewarded with a woody, earthy smoke and a series of complex flavors ranging from leather and chocolate to spicy espresso.
If you’re lucky enough to find this baby in stock, buy several boxes. They are difficult to find given their popularity. |
