Henry Clay cigars were named after the great statesman of the same name, also known as "The Great Compromiser" A senator from Kentucky, Henry Clay was the founder of the Whig Party and among many other accomplishments he also had been Speaker of the House as well as Secretary of State.
Altadis made the Henry Clay cigar using the name of a quality hero to properly fit a quality cigar. Often compared to more expensive brands, Henry Clay cigars are made with premium class tobacco at an affordable price. They have a medium-full body and are made with high end tobacco from the Dominican Republic. Henry Clays are wrapped in aged Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and offer a rich flavor that is not too overly strong. This cigar is a favorite with aficionados who appreciate a fine and unique flavor offering a light spicy smoke and earthy aroma. The great taste and old world style of this brand has earned it a cult like following. Henry Clay cigars are produced in the Dominican Republic since after the Cuban Trade embargo. They are made by the finest cigar rollers of the Altadis factory. Some cigars in the Henry Clay line include: the Breva, Breva Conserva, Breva Finas, Toro and Rothchilde. |
