The Gurkha Vintage Series is a medium-body cigar from the Gurkha line, one of the most prestigious lines of cigars on the market today. The Gurkha Vintage Series have an eight year old wrapper made in the Dominican Republic with a potent five year old Dominican filler as well making this a rather aged cigar rising to the usual standards of Gurkha cigars. The Gurkha Vintage Series is a very smooth and relaxing smoke with tastes and aromas reminiscent of leather and coffee with just a suggestion of pepper spices born of the subtle injections of Nicaraguan tobaccos. The full flavor of this particular cigar makes it the perfect stand alone smoke. It needs no drink or food to complement it because its taste is able to fulfill all of the senses at once. However, it does go well as an after dinner smoke or a pre-dessert smoke. The Gurkha Vintage Series come in a range of about 6 inches with a ring gauge of 50 to about 7 and a quarter inches with a ring gauge of 52. All of the cigars in the Gurkha Vintage Series have the same wrapper and the same filler, though their tastes and sizes vary slightly. The longer ones tend to be a more robust smoke where the shorter have a mellow, more relaxed feel to them. Though, whatever the preferred smoke is at the time, the Gurkha Vintage Series does a good job filling any order of the most particular of cigar enthusiasts. |
