The Gurkha Grand Master is perhaps one of the best cigars on the market today. It is a medium body Dominican blend of the finest tobacco, as is commonplace with the Gurkha line. The Gurkha Grand Master is considered among the finest of the entire prestigious Gurkha line. The Dominican fillers themselves must be aged for a minimum of 8 years, thus the Gurkha Grand Master is made in very spare numbers. It is blended and rolled by the top experts in the world to make it completely flawless in every conceivable way. Though this cigar is expensive and difficult to come by because only about 40,000 sticks are rolled every year, it certainly is a lovely blend of tobacco making it well worth it. The Gurkha Grand Master is a massive double wrapped cigar ranging in about 8.5 inches long with a ring gauge of 52 making this cigar teeter on the edge of cigar limitations. If smoked straight through, the Gurkha Grand Master can last around 2 hours. The taste is subtle, but easily distinguishable from the tobacco leaf. It comes at you slowly with hints of spice, though displayed by a backdrop of nutty sweet flavor. In the tail end of the cigar, tastes of cinnamon and earth are reminiscent in the tobacco leaf, making this cigar full of surprises as you smoke it down. This is a titan among cigars produced today as it has a rare taste and smell to it only accentuated by the double wrapper and the solid texture to the tobacco leaf. This is certainly the Rolls Royce of cigars and more than worth any cigar enthusiast trying out. |
