Graycliff G2 |

The Graycliff Cigar company rolled out the Yellow Label G2 in 2005, and this stogie has been pleasing cigar lovers ever since. Graycliff made this one of their more affordable offerings, but Avelino Lara and his team in the Bahamas did not sacrifice quality or flavor in the process. There’s a lot of value packed into this cigar. Graycliff’s commitment to small batch process and world class tobaccos is on full display in the G2. This stick offers a rich and carefully aged blend of Costa Rican, Nicaraguan, and Filipino leaves in an Ecuadorian wrapper, with a Costa Rican binder. This eclectic pedigree produces a smoke of medium to full-bodied strength, with a clean and creamy flavor that remains consistent throughout. The aroma is pleasant and a little spicy. The aftertaste is crisp. The result is a pleasing and relaxing smoke, perfect after a stressful day, or to finish a great meal. The burn is even, so you can light it and put the torch away. This is a nicely constructed stogie, that fits the hand nicely. The G2 makes a great introductory choice because of the modest price tag, and because the smooth flavor and aroma will not overwhelm the new cigar lover. But for the same reasons, many aficionados make the Graycliff G2 a regular smoke. |
