Cigar smoking has been around for over 1000 years. Mayan ruins in Guatemala show a man smoking a cigar. The native Indians of the Caribbean started cigar smoking and as we all know Cuba became the Mecca for perfect seeds. CAO Cigars haven’t been around that long, but the company is known for producing a quality smoke. CAO has been around since 1968 and in 1998 they introduced their L’Anniversaire cigar which celebrated 30 years in business. The L’Anniversaire has a Cameroon wrapper with Ecuadorian filler inside. CAO’s Maduro line has Ecuadorian filler with a Connecticut broadleaf Maduro wrapper. The Brazilia line contains Nicaraguan filler and binder and a Brazilian wrapper surrounds them. The Criollo was released in 2002. It is filled with Nicaraguan tobacco and has a Criollo wrapper surrounding the precious Nicaraguan tobacco.
CAO’s Flavors line is quite a cigar experience. The 3 sizes come in Earth Nectar, Gold Honey, Bella Vanilla, Moontrance, Karma Sutra Splash and Eileen’s Dream. Flavors uses natural ingredients like vanilla beans, orange blossom honey, Irish coffee, raisins, almonds, Hawaiian mango, white chocolate truffles, chocolate mint ice cream, Chianti wine and cocoa. The combination of these ingredients along with the Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos makes this cigar a truly unique smoking experience. The Gold Label, Italia and Mx2 complete the CAO cigar collection. The Gold was introduced in 1996 and is considered a mild cigar. It has Nicaraguan filler and binder surrounded by an Ecuadorian grown Connecticut wrapper. The Italia has a dark Honduran Maduro wrapper and binder and a blend of Italian, Peruvian and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Mx2 is designed to double the flavor of other cigars. The wrapper is broadleaf Connecticut Maduro and the binder is a Brazilian Maduro leaf, which adds to the flavor. The filler is a mixture of Peruvian, Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco. The CAO Cigar line is in a class of its own when it comes to creativity and taste. Each cigar in the collection can take a man on a journey to another world and that’s what Tim Ozgener, President of CAO, had in mind when the company developed this exciting collection. |
