CAO Criollo |

|
The CAO Criollo is a value-priced puro cigar. While the Criollo seed hails from Cuba, the cigar’s tobacco, filler, binder and wrapper are all Nicaraguan. Puro cigars are highly prized and considered an achievement of fine craftsmanship. Normally, tobacco leaves from numerous countries are needed to achieve a rich, complex taste. Just two countries, Cuba and Nicaragua, produce tobacco of the quality necessary for a puro cigar.
The mild-to-medium flavor of the CAO Criollo appeals to both beginning and experienced cigar smokers. You will enjoy the lingering flavors of sweet spice, pepper, walnuts and leather. The body is well-constructed and firm, with an easy draw and a delightful cedar-like aroma. The appearance of the CAO Criollo may remind you of a bygone era, and that’s intentional.
"Everything from the sizes we've selected, to the blends of tobaccos we've chosen, to the twist we've placed on the classic Cuban cabinet packaging -- all are done in veneration of the tradition of Cuba's history of cigar artistry,” says CAO Vice President Tim Ozgener.
It works. With this cigar in hand, it’s hard not to imagine yourself retiring to the smoking room with a glass of port or brandy in hand.
The CAO Criollo is a known commodity. Cigar Insider named the CAO Criollo the #1 Nicaraguan cigar of 2003. The Criollo also earned the title “Best Nicaraguan Cigar 2005” from the illustrious European Cigar Cult Journal.
The Criollo comes in five sizes: • Conquistador – 6 1/8 length x 52 • Bomba – 6 x 50 • Mancha – 5 5/8 x 46 • Pato – 4 7/8” x 50 • Pampas – 4” x 38 |
