CAO CX2 |

Someone had to be first. Luckily for Cameroon fans, it was CAO. The CAO CX2 boasts a Cameroon binder and wrapper, the first cigar in the world to do so. The medium to full-bodied tobacco inside is a Columbian/Nicaraguan blend. The result has been an overwhelming success. When the CAO CX2 was first introduced in 2006, many considered it the MX2’s annoying little brother. After all, the MX2 was a Maduro masterpiece. How do you beat that? Simple. Don’t try. The CX2 succeeds on its own merit, highlighting the unique flavor of Cameroon tobacco, rich and spicy sweet, unlike any other cigar. The CX2 wrapper has a smooth, silky feel. It has excellent handmade construction, firm, with a springy bounce. The draw is excellent and the burn slow and even. The flavor starts off slightly nutty but you’ll be able to detect the sweet, woody undertones. A few puffs in, you’ll notice that rich, spicy flavor that the African Cameroon wrapper is known for, and enjoy a robust, creamy finish. The African Cameroon leaves are fragile and easily susceptible to damage. That’s why Cameroon tobacco is expensive and rare. Combining two of these premium wrappers was a bold move on CAO’s part and a gift to cigar aficionados. |
