Tony Borhani is a man of unparalleled vision and creativity. As an Iranian immigrant, he had no Cuban family tradition to draw on. In fact, he had no experience with tobacco. He exposed himself to cigars when he was selling fine wines in a boutique shop in California. He learned everything he could about selecting tobacco and rolling cigars. Originally he was making cigars only for himself. Soon, he was making cigars for the most demanding aficionados in the world. Bahia Gold is his flagship brand and the cigar Tony created for himself. It is a full bodied cigar with a complex flavor and intriguing aroma. The filler is a blend of Dominican Republic Ligero, Seco and Viso grown from Cuban Seed. Ecuadorian sun grown Sumatra is used for the wrapper. All the tobacco is aged a minimum of four years. They are box pressed and must rest for twelve months before you can savor one.
