Avo Uvezian did not set out to make cigars. He trained at Julliard and is renown for his skills on the piano. Avo wrote the song Strangers in the Night that was made famous by Frank Sinatra. Avo traveled to the Dominican Republic and scoured the country for the perfect factory and the best tobacco. There are 4 Avo cigar lines that are readily available today. The Avo Classic is a mild and flavorful cigar. This is the cigar line that started it all. The Maduro line is somewhat stronger and rich in flavor. Avo XO line is an excellent smoke. Not too strong and not to mild, most find the XO to just right. Avo Domaine is a full bodied cigar that appeals to the serious connoisseur.
The Avo 787 line is not as easy to find. If you have the chance to try one, you will be impressed with its medium body and incredibly balanced flavors of coffee and dark chocolate mixed with just the right amount of nuts and spice. Equally pleasing and difficult to find is the Avo Signature. This full bodied cigar is guaranteed to please even the most discerning aficionado.
